Spring feels so different and magical in the Northern Hemisphere dear Freya. The beauty of changing angles of light, the slow thawing snow, and your beautiful poetic expression guiding us through this meditative landscape - everyday miracles to feel grateful for. Thank you for sharing this again. My soul needed this 💜❄️

I love when light returns in spring. Without light I feel down and drowsy. Electric lights don't help much and I hate going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. Spring lets me feel like I can be human again instead of a winter zombie.

Everything you write is a joy, and this is an especially wonderful blessing today!!! You see and write with your heart, and it makes it feel like I can almost experience (see, hear, smell, touch, taste!) EVERYTHING 💖 Thank you so much for this, Freya!❤️

This took my breath away! It’s so easy in northern climates to feel little more than frustration with spring, to notice and grumble at what it is not—no warmth, no green, no flowers. But to attend to the sensory richness of what spring is with such attentive detail—I’m just so moved by this. I may return to this piece when I’m feeling homesick and need to be flooded with sensory-memories of Alaska.
